Measles Exposure in Collin County
Collin County Health Care Services has notified the Town of Fairview that an individual who spent time in Collin County on August 14, 2026 and August 15, 2026 has tested positive for measles. This individual visited three public venues while infectious.
Exposure Locations & Dates:
If you were at any of these locations during the specified dates and are not vaccinated against measles or are unsure of your immunity, you may be at risk of contracting measles.
The following recommendations were provided by Collin County Health Care Services regarding what you should do:

- Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home: 2525 Central Expressway North Allen, Texas, 75013
- Date: 08/14/2026 between 10am – 2pm
- Gloria’s Latin Cuisine: 152 Fountain Circle Fairview, Texas, 75069
- Date: 08/14/2026 between 12:30pm – 5pm
- The Revel in Frisco Patio & Grill: 9305 Preston Rd, Frisco, Texas 75033
- Date: 08/15/2026 between 7:45pm – 12am
If you were at any of these locations during the specified dates and are not vaccinated against measles or are unsure of your immunity, you may be at risk of contracting measles.
The following recommendations were provided by Collin County Health Care Services regarding what you should do:
- If you were at one of the venues on the dates and times listed above and are:
- Unvaccinated and pregnant; or
- Immunocompromised (receiving treatment that would result in immune system suppression, or have an immune system disease),
- Anyone who was at the venues on the dates listed above should monitor themselves for measles symptoms through September 5, 2026. Those symptoms include:
- Fever
- Dry cough
- Runny nose
- Sore throat
- Inflamed eyes (conjunctivitis)
- Koplik’s spots: Small white spots with bluish-white centers found inside the mouth
- A skin rash made up of large, flat blotches
- If you develop symptoms of measles:
- Stay home and away from others.
- Contact your healthcare provider for guidance.
- Call before visiting a clinic or hospital to prevent possible exposure to others.
