Heatherwood Drive Road Closure for Culvert Replacement 
The Heatherwood Drive culvert that carries the Lake Sherwood tributary, located between South Duck Lake Road and Ford Road in Commerce Township, will be replaced. The culvert work will require the road to be closed over the Lake Sherwood tributary. Residential access will be maintained on both the east and west sides of the work.

Impact on Traffic:
Heatherwood Dr. will be closed throughout the project, from approximately Aug 24 through late October. The detour for through traffic during the project will be Duck Lake Rd. to Cooley Lake Rd. to Ford Rd. to Heatherwood Dr. and vice versa. Access will be maintained on either side of the culvert for those going to or from homes along Heatherwood Dr.
Project Information:
The approximate $787,000 project is funded by the Road Commission for Oakland County. The project includes:
- Removal of the twin corrugated metal pipe arch culverts.
- Replacement with an 18-foot by 7-foot precast box concrete culvert.
- Asphalt paving in the vicinity of the culvert.
- New curb and gutter in the vicinity of the culvert.
- New guardrail.
- Minor drainage improvements.
