INCIDENT: V.C. 23153(B) – Driving Under the Influence Causing Bodily Injury

DRIVER 2: Adult female
PASSENGER 2: Adult male
VEHICLE 2: 2020 KIA Sorento
DRIVER 3: Adult female
VEHICLE 3: 2024 KIA Forte
SUMMARY: On Saturday, August 22, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Station Traffic Division responded to the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Ridgecrest Road for a report of a three-vehicle traffic collision.
The preliminary investigation determined a blue 2019 Honda Civic, driven by Victoria Larios, travelled northbound on Santa Fe Avenue. Witnesses reported the Honda was traveling at a high rate of speed when it traveled over a curb and sidewalk, became airborne, entered eastbound Bear Valley Road, where it collided with a 2020 Kia Sorento and a 2024 Kia Forte.
The driver and passenger of the Kia Sorento were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver sustained major injuries and was subsequently transported to a trauma center for further treatment.
Larios was transported to a local hospital for treatment prior to being booked.
Victoria Larios was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for, V.C. 23153(B) – Driving Under the Influence Causing Bodily Injury with no bail.
