Robbery Investigation Leads to Arrest, Recovered Firearm
A follow-up investigation into a West Oakland robbery led to one arrest and the recovery of an illegal firearm.
The robbery happened just before 1:15 p.m. on August 5, 2026, in the 1000 block of Franklin Street. Three unknown suspects approached two victims, used force to take their belongings, and left the scene in a vehicle.
Investigators used the victims' descriptions of the suspects and the getaway vehicle to locate them.
On August 24, 2026, officers assigned to the Special Resource Section (SRS) West served multiple search warrants at locations connected to the suspects. Officers recovered a stolen firearm, ammunition, extended magazines, and clothing.
