LOCATION: 10800 block Riggins Road, Phelan
SUSPECT #1: Antonio Rene Martinez, 37-year-old resident of Phelan
SUSPECT #2: Nestor Francisco Sanchez, 35-year-old resident of Santa Ana
VICTIM: Confidential, adult male
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 12:11 a.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to the 10800 block of Riggins Road in Phelan regarding a report of a suspicious circumstance.
Upon arrival, deputies observed an individual with multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. The victim was immediately flown to a hospital due to the severity of his injuries. During the investigation, deputies positively identified two suspects as Antonio Martinez and Nestor Sanchez.
On Friday, August 21, 2026, investigators from the Victor Valley Station served a search warrant in the 2400 block of La Mesa Road in Pinon Hills. During the search, investigators located Nestor Sanchez where he was arrested and taken into custody.
On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, investigators located Antonio Martinez in Hesperia where he was arrested and taken into custody.
Both suspects were transported to the High Desert Detention Center where they were booked for attempted murder.
