On Sunday, August 30, 2026, at approximately 9:43 p.m., officers from the Santa Maria Police Department, along with personnel from the Santa Maria Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to the area of Blosser Road and Eagleton Avenue regarding a reported single-vehicle rollover traffic collision.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had been involved in a rollover collision. Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle and sustained major injuries.
Both occupants were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
Based on the preliminary on-scene investigation, alcohol appears to be a factor in the collision. The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation by the Santa Maria Police Department Traffic Unit.
