ATTENTION RESIDENTS,
The City of East Chicago - Sanitary District will begin it's
Annual Sewer Cleaning (CSO) of the 3400, 3500 & 3600 blocks of Grand Blvd, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, September 1st thru September 3rd. This cleaning process may take 24 to 48 hours. (Weather permitting.)
During the sewer cleaning process you may encounter possible sewer backups and odor in your homes due to the high pressure cleaning system the city’s Freightliner Vactor truck puts out. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, we recommend you cover all floor drains, sinks, showers, and toilets located throughout your home to avoid these issues.

La Ciudad de East Chicago - Distrito Sanitario comenzará su Limpieza Anual de Alcantarillado (CSO) de la calles de Grand Blvd 3400, 3500 & 3600, martes, miercoles, y jueves, Septiembre 1st a hasta el Septiembre 3rd. Este proceso de limpieza puede tardar de 24 a 48 horas. Si, el tiempo lo permite.
Durante el proceso de limpieza de alcantarillado, es posible que encuentre posibles obstrucciones y olores en sus hogares debido al sistema de limpieza de alta presión que utiliza el camión Freightliner Vactor de la ciudad. Por lo tanto, como medida de precaución, le recomendamos cubrir todos los desagües del piso, lavabos, duchas e inodoros ubicados en toda su casa para evitar estos problemas.
