Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the suspects pictured below, who ransacked a victim’s apartment and robbed her of $,7500 posing as FBI agents on Friday, August 27, 2026.
Three male suspects entered the victim’s building at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Mott Street near Raymond Boulevard in the city’s Ironbound section. A fourth suspect waited in a black Toyota Camry Solara while the men knocked on the victim’s third-floor apartment, claiming to be federal agents, demanding that she open the door.
When the victim did, they rushed in and pushed her down onto the couch. One of them, described as light-skinned and wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, held her down while the other two masked accomplices ransacked the apartment, taking $7,500 from a bedroom safe and two credit cards from her purse.
They left and fled in the Camry, which had out-of-state plates, traveling east on Fleming Avenue. A shuttle bus pictured below may also be connected to the home invasion.
