Eleven Cited at Simi Valley DUI Checkpoint
 
Simi Valley, Calif. – On August 29, 2026, eleven drivers were cited for traffic violations to include driving on a suspended license and driving without a driver’s license at a DUI checkpoint.
 
The DUI checkpoint was held at First Street and Easy Street from 8:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
 
Eleven drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, 833 vehicles were contacted.
 
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
 
The next DUI checkpoint will be held on September 19, 2026.
 
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
