1. Robbery (Delayed) 1200 Block of East March Lane, Valley Oak District
On 08/31/2026 at 5 pm, the female victim, 24, was at the listed location when she saw the known suspect. The suspect approached the victim and assaulted her, causing them to fight. The suspect then picked up the victim's property and fled the area. The victim sustained minor injuries. SUSPECT: Black adult female.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1630) 300 Block of East Washington Street, Civic District
The male victim, 43, was working in the listed area when the suspects approached and caused an altercation. The suspect assaulted the victim, who fell to the ground. The suspect fled when bystanders intervened. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. SUSPECTS: Three Black males.
3. Shooting into a Dwelling (1837) 400 Block of Bristol Avenue, Civic District
The male victims, 56, 52, and the female victim, 79, were in their homes when their residences were struck by gunfire. No one was injured. SUSPECTS: Unknown.
4. Resisting Arrest (1841) 4400 Block of Townehome Drive, Valley Oak District
Officers responded to a trespassing complaint and contacted the suspect, who brandished a knife. The suspect dropped the knife but continued to be confrontational, and force was used to take her into custody. ARRESTED: Tyniza Cowart, 44, for resisting arrest.
5. Homicide (0043) 2200 Block of Hackberry Street, Park District
Officers conducted a welfare check at the location after reports of a person being stabbed and located the female victim, 72, suffering from stab wounds. She was pronounced deceased on scene. Officers later located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Kevin McKinsley-Harris, 21, for homicide.
6. Traffic Fatality (0258) Carolyn Weston Blvd and Manthey Road, Seaport District
Officers responded to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian and found the male subject lying on the roadway, unconscious. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
