1. Vandalism Arrest (1214) 00 Block of East Market Street, Civic District
An officer was in the area handling an unrelated call for service when he saw the suspect arguing with an adult female. The suspect grabbed something from the female’s purse, pushed her to the ground, and threw a metal water bottle at a building window, causing significant damage. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Albert Alcaraz, 45, for spousal battery and vandalism.
2. Battery on an Officer (1324) 00 Block of South Center Street, Civic District
An officer responded to the area on a report of a male subject lying in the bushes, unconscious and unresponsive. The officer located the suspect and determined that he was sleeping. The suspect was told that he was trespassing and needed to leave the area. The suspect refused and assaulted the officer. The officer used force to take the suspect into custody. The officer sustained minor injuries. ARRESTED: Juan Moises Sajic, 30, for battery on an officer.
