The Green Bay Police Department is advising that west side commuters who travel on Shawano Avenue use alternate routes this morning, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, due to a single vehicle crash.
At this time eastbound lanes between Taylor Street and Siegler Street are closed due to a vehicle that struck live power lines around 8:20 a.m. in the 1800 block of Shawano Avenue. Westbound lanes remain open for travel at this time.
Wisconsin Public Service has been contacted to assist on the scene.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
