On Saturday, September 5, 2026, the rescheduled 4th of July Parade and Celebration will take place beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a celebration at the Hanover Arts and Activities Center afterward.
From approximately 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. some roadways will be closed for the parade.
The roadways impacted during the parade are:
- Hanover Avenue between South Snead Street and Thompson Street
- Duncan Street between Hanover Avenue and Cox Lane
- West Myrtle Street between Duncan and South Railroad Avenue
Roadways closed during the celebration are:
- Railroad Avenue/S. Center Street southbound from Myrtle Street to Stebbins Street and Cox Lane until 2:00 p.m.
Please use caution in these areas and expect an increase of pedestrian traffic. Officers will be on scene assisting with traffic control.
