TRAFFIC ALERT FOR Thursday, 9/3/26. AVOID northbound Rt. 47 near the overpass to US 30/Rt. 56. ALL northbound lanes will be closed. 
IDOT will be replacing a 2nd steel beam on the bridge over Rt. 47 (overpass of US 30 / Rt. 47) on Thursday, 9/3, from 9 am to 4:30 pm. All northbound traffic in this area will be diverted around the closure. Follow the marked detour signage to get around the construction project. Give yourself extra time if traveling during the closure, and please be patient with your fellow drivers.
