| Detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office East County Major Crimes Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in obtaining additional information related to a violent assault that occurred in the early morning hours of August 28, 2026, at the Oakview Apartment Homes complex, located in the 600 block of Hampshire Road in Thousand Oaks. At approximately 2:15 a.m., a security guard responded to the apartment complex pool area regarding a noise disturbance. Several individuals were contacted and advised to quiet down and leave the area. A short time later, the security guard heard yelling and observed an adult male victim being assaulted near the pool and barbecue area. The victim was reportedly knocked to the ground and was punched, kicked, and stomped by multiple individuals. The victim sustained injuries to his head, face, and body. During the investigation, detectives determined the assault was preceded by an interaction in which several individuals questioned the victim about contacting law enforcement in connection with the earlier disturbance. Detectives responded to the scene to investigate the incident and subsequently identified and arrested three suspects in connection with the assault likely to produce great bodily injury. The suspects were identified as Julio Trevino, Adan Domingo, and Ivan Domingo. All three suspects were booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for violation of Penal Code 245(a)(4) – Assault Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury. Detectives believe there may have been additional individuals present during the incident and are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information that could assist investigators. Detectives are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was in the pool or barbecue area, observed the incident, saw individuals leaving the area, or may have photographs, video, or other information related to the assault.
