FFWHGX The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Liberty County in southeastern Texas... Southeastern Polk County in southeastern Texas... Southeastern San Jacinto County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 100 PM CDT.

* At 950 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3.5 and 16.5 inches of rain have fallen over the last 48 hours. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Cleveland, Shepherd, Goodrich, Romayor, Rye, Tarkington Prairie, Moss Hill and Segno.
