INCIDENT: MET Team Recovers Assault Rifle During Search Warrant
LOCATION: 16600 block of Desert Lily Street, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Raymond Gomez, 45-years-old, Resident of Victorville

SUMMARY: On Friday, August 21, 2026, deputies assigned to the Victorville Station’s Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) investigated a vehicle theft that occurred in Adelanto. The investigation subsequently led to the service of a search warrant at a residence in the 16600 block of Desert Lily Street in Victorville.
During the service of the search warrant, deputies located stolen property believed to be related to the vehicle theft. Deputies also located short-barreled AR-style upper receivers, complete AR-style lower receivers, numerous large-capacity drum-style magazines, and ammunition.
Through further investigation, MET identified 45-year-old Raymond Gomez, a resident of Victorville, as a suspect in the investigation. Gomez was prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition due to a prior conviction.
Gomez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for violations of Penal Code 29800(a)(1) – Possession of a Firearm as a Prohibited Person, Penal Code 496(a) – Possession of Stolen Property, Penal Code 32310 – Possession of a Large-Capacity Magazine, and Penal Code 30605(a) – Possession of an Assault Weapon.
