Wilmington Police arrest woman in connection to August 31st stabbing incident: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a woman in connection to an August stabbing incident after an investigation.
On August 31st at approximately 4:48 a.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of East 3rd Street in reference to an injured female subject. Police located a 21-year-old female stabbing victim, who was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The case was assigned to Detective James Rook of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Rook identified 21-year-old Nachaela Rutto as a suspect and obtained warrants for her arrest.
On September 2nd at approximately 9:30 a.m., police executed a warrant attempt in the 300 block of North Lombard Street, where Rutto was located and taken into custody without incident.
Our investigation has determined that this incident was domestic in nature.
Rutto has been charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Murder (First Degree)
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
