COLLINGSWOOD END OF SUMMER CELEBRATION: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5

Collingswood’s End of Summer Celebration is this Saturday, September 5, with activities happening throughout the afternoon and evening, followed by our annual fireworks show at 8:30 PM.

EVENT SCHEDULE

• Farmers Market: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Robert’s Pool Party: Food from Headbangin’ BBQ and music from DJ Marcus
• Pocket Park: Live music from Alien Island, 5:30–7:30 PM
• Fireworks: 8:30 PM, with viewing from Knight Park or Collingswood High School
• High School gates open: 7:30 PM

We encourage residents and visitors to make an evening of it by walking to the celebration, enjoying dinner at one of Collingswood’s restaurants and eateries, and then heading to the fireworks.

FIREWORKS VIEWING & PARKING

For the safety of guests and spectators, no vehicles will be permitted inside Knight Park during the fireworks event. An increase in vehicles in recent years has made it increasingly difficult and dangerous for pedestrians to leave the park safely following the fireworks.

If possible, please walk to Knight Park or the High School.

Parking will be available at:
• Scottish Rite parking lot
• Lumber Yard parking garage

Residents with disabilities who cannot walk to the High School may use the designated handicap parking spaces near the tennis courts. Please drive up to the police detail at the entrance and speak with an officer for access.

ROAD CLOSURES

Several roads will be closed or restricted during the festivities to help keep pedestrians, spectators and motorists safe. Please review the attached road closure map before heading out and plan your route accordingly.

Expect increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic throughout the evening, particularly before and after the fireworks. Please follow all posted detours, barricades and directions from police and event personnel.
