Willow Ave. will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at approximately 6 PM tonight between 7th and 9th Streets due to emergency repairs by Veolia. The roadway is expected to remain closed overnight with an expected reopening time of 6 AM tomorrow morning, Friday, September 4. Please avoid the area and allow extra travel time, to get around the closure.
Water service to approximately 25 locations around the area of 8th Street and Willow Ave. will be shut down. Veolia is alerting individual customers. The shutdown is scheduled to begin at approximately 8 PM, September 3, and will go until 6 AM on Friday, September 4.
As a result of the closure, NJ Transit 126 Willow Ave buses inbound to Hoboken Terminal will redirect to Washington St.
The Hoboken Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is on the scene and monitoring the situation. Updates will be provided, as they become available.
