Hackensack Street and Union Avenue Intersection
The traffic light at the intersection is now operational and will be placed in a warning flash mode to alert drivers of the new traffic pattern.
The traffic light for Hackensack Street traffic, north and south, will blink yellow warning motorists to slow and use caution upon entering the intintersection.
The traffic light for Union Avenue, east and west, will blink red warning motorists to STOP before navigating the intersection.
The crosswalk pedestrian lights will not be activated during this period and all pedestrians are urged to use extreme caution when crossing both Hackensack Street and Union Avenue as this is a new traffic pattern for both motorists and pedestrians.
The traffic light will remain in its warning flash mode until Tuesday, September 8, where it will be fully operational and motorists will be required to adhere the traffic signal.
