BURN BAN LIFTED
As of 9/4/2026 the burning ban previously in effect for the Bad River Reservation is lifted.
- Please use safe burning practices. Most fires are caused by human activities.
- A Bad River burning permit is required before burning within the Reservation boundary, please contact a Bad River Warden for a permit
- Drought conditions persist despite recent rainfall.
- Fire danger may rise again before winter arrives.
Other burning restrictions may be in place outside of the Bad River Reservation, please check with Wisconsin DNR for more information in those locations.
