Deputies Investigating Report of Stolen Vehicle Arrest Needles Woman
DATE/TIME: Thursday, September 3, 2026, at about 4:07 p.m.
INCIDENT: VC 10851(a) - Vehicle Theft
LOCATION: 200 Block of G Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Pamela Gareau, 55-year-old Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at about 7:06 a.m., deputies from the Coloroado River Station responded to the 200 block of G Street in the city of Needles regarding a report of a stolen vehicle. During the investigation, deputies obtained video footage that showed a female in the area at the time of the theft. The female was positively identified as 55-year-old Pamela Gareau.
Deputies conducted an area check but did not locate the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was entered into the stolen vehicle system, and deputies continued their investigation by seeking additional video footage and information.
On Thursday, September 3, 2026 at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to a separate report of trespassing. During the investigation, deputies discovered Gareau was at the location. Deputies also determined Gareau had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Orange County for CVC 10851(A)-Vehicle Theft.
Gareau was arrested for vehicle theft and for her outstanding warrant. Gareau was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $80,000.00, awaiting a court hearing. The case remains under investigation.
