| On 09/02/2026, (S) Pedro Lara, a 19-year-old resident of unincorporated Fillmore was found to be in possession of a loaded, stolen firearm. He was arrested for several firearm related offenses. At about 4:28 PM, patrol deputies from the Sheriff’s Fillmore Station contacted three individuals loitering in the Rancho Sespe Apartments located at 2590 Telegraph Road in unincorporated Fillmore. All three suspects are known members from a local gang. One of the subjects had an active felony warrant and was subsequently arrested for the warrant. The two other subjects, one of whom was (S) Pedro Lara, were arrested for a misdemeanor drug offense. During a search of Lara’s person, deputies located a loaded handgun concealed on his person. Lara was subsequently arrested for violations of Penal Code § 25400(a)(2) – [Carrying a Concealed Firearm Upon Person], Penal Code § 25850(c)(6) – [Carrying a Loaded Handgun Without Proper Registration], Penal Code § 27545 – [Unlawful Firearm Transfer], Penal Code § 487(d)(2) – [Grand Theft Firearm], Penal Code § 381b – [Possession of Nitrous Oxide], and Penal Code § 186.22(b)(1) – [Street Terrorism]. Lara and the other two subjects were transported to the Pre-Trial Detention Facility (PTDF) where they were booked pending court proceedings.
