The male victim, 42, was walking in the listed area when an unknown suspect shot him. The victim went to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries. There is no suspect information.
2. Burglary / Resisting Arrest (1546) 4700 Block of West Lane, Valley Oak District
Officers responded to a residence in the listed area regarding a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the suspect fled on foot from the officers. As officers gave chase, the suspect fell. Officers attempted to take him into custody, but he resisted. Officers used force to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Steven Smith, 39, for resisting arrest and attempted burglary.
