Founders’ Day Parade to Bring Temporary Road Closures and Traffic Impacts September 26
ROHNERT PARK, CA — The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety is advising the community of temporary road closures and traffic impacts associated with the Founders’ Day Parade on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Lawrence Jones Middle School (LJMS) and travel south on Snyder Lane in the southbound lanes, concluding at Rancho Cotate High School (RCHS).
Southbound Snyder Lane between Lawrence Jones Middle School and Rancho Cotate High School will be closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the parade. Traffic impacts and intermittent closures are expected at intersections along and near the parade route, including:
- Snyder Lane at Circulo Grande, near the entrance to Lawrence Jones Middle School
- Parkway Drive at Snyder Lane
- San Francisco Way at Snyder Lane
- Medical Center Drive at Snyder Lane
- Jasmine Lane at Snyder Lane
- Camino Creek at Snyder Lane
- Camino Corto at Snyder Lane
Access to the LJMS and RCHS parking lots will be restricted during the parade. The main RCHS driveway will also be closed for exiting traffic until the parade has been completed.
At Rohnert Park Expressway and Snyder Lane, eastbound and westbound traffic may be stopped intermittently to allow parade participants to pass.
Following the parade, Founders’ Day festivities will continue at the Rohnert Park Community Center complex. Residents and visitors should expect increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area throughout the day.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use alternate routes when possible. Motorists should remain alert and follow all directions from Public Safety personnel.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as residents and visitors come together to celebrate Founders’ Day.
