LASD Suspect Arrested in Pizzamania Arson Case
On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, a fire occurred at a strip mall in the 13500 block of Telegraph Road, Whittier. The fire destroyed multiple businesses including “Pizzamania”. After an almost two-year investigation, Suspect Arreola was identified as the person who set the businesses on fire.
On August 25, 2026, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office-Target Crimes Division charged Suspect Arreola with one count of 451 (c) P.C. – Arson of a structure, and an arrest warrant was issued.
On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, members of the Major Crimes Bureau-Fugitive Task Force along with Investigators from the Arson Explosives Detail served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in the City of Compton.
Suspect Arreola was detained without incident and booked at the Pico Rivera Sheriff’s station. Suspect Arreola’s bail is set at $75,000. Suspect Arreola is also suspected of a separate arson in the city of Riverside that occurred on October 06, 2025.
Riverside Fire Department Investigators are leading that arson investigation. Investigators believe the suspect may be responsible for other arsons that Investigators are unaware of.
