AC Alert: Heat Advisory for Alameda starting now until Thursday, September 10 at 10:00 pm. AVOID outdoor activities or LIMIT direct sun exposure, DRINK water, and make sure you take breaks in the shade. Check on elderly, family members, and neighbors, and make sure their homes are cooled properly. BRING pets, service animals, and other animals indoors.
Cooling Center Locations:
Regular Library Operations:
- Main Library: 10:00 am –6:00 pm
- Bay Farm Library: 10:00 am –6:00 pm
- West End Library: 10:00 am –6:00 pm
Extended Cooling Center Operations:
- Stafford Room at Main Library: 6:00 – 7:00 pm
- The Main Library itself will be closed during the extended period; the Stafford Room will remain available as the cooling center.
