SMPD Officers make arrest for multiple burglaries 
On September 8, 2026, at approximately 9:30am, Santa Maria Police officers arrested Francisco Jacob Campos, 40, of Santa Maria, in connection with multiple recent burglaries that occurred in the 600 block of North Broadway, where approximately $10,000–$15,000 in property had been stolen.
Campos was located a short time later in the 1500 block of South Broadway and taken into custody. Stolen property was recovered, and the investigation resulted in approximately six additional cases being cleared.
Campos was booked into the Santa Barbara County Northern Branch Jail on burglary, possession of stolen property, vandalism, and drug-related charges.
