The Town of Newburgh Police Department is advising motorists of a motor vehicle accident involving a utility pole and downed wires in the area of 549 Lakeside Road.

Lakeside Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic, except residents, between the Town of Newburgh Little League Field (538 Lakeside Road) and Route 300 (601 Lakeside Road) while Central Hudson works to repair the utility pole.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes. Residents in the affected area may also experience temporary power outages.
