As of 8 a.m. today, September 9, 2026, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has received information from Verizon regarding potential service outages in the Beaufort and Burton areas that may impact some customers’ ability to call 911.
Verizon customers who are unable to reach 911 should call the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency dispatch line at 843-524-2777 to reach emergency services.
