Virtual community meeting on 1 Henderson Street is Sept. 15
Residents are reminded to register for a virtual community meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m., to learn about and provide feedback on a proposed residential development at 1 Henderson St.
During the meeting, the project team will present plans for a mixed-use development featuring 160 residential units, including 16 affordable housing units. The proposal also includes 64 parking spaces and a green roof designed to help capture stormwater.
Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback about the proposal.

Register for fall pickleball Sept. 18
Fall Adult Pickleball registration for Hoboken residents will open Friday, Sept. 18, at 5 p.m. on https://hoboken.recdesk.com/Community/Home. The City’s Division of Recreation will offer various skill levels at the Multi Service Center gym, 124 Grand St.
Space is limited and sessions will fill quickly.
Hoboken Connect Project update meeting scheduled for Sept. 22
Residents are reminded that the City of Hoboken, and development partner LCOR, will host a virtual meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m., to update the public on the future redevelopment of “Site 1" of Hoboken Connect.
"Site 1" is approximately 700,000 square feet of land owned by New Jersey Transit at the corner of Hudson Place and Hudson Street which is currently being used as a surface parking lot. During the Sept. 22 community meeting, LCOR will present proposed changes to the redevelopment plan and agreement. Participants will be invited to make comments and ask questions about the project. No action will be taken during the meeting.

In addition to “Site 1,” the Hoboken Connect project is transforming the City’s transit gateway with the recent reconstruction of Hudson Place, new street and infrastructure upgrades, the restoration of the historic Ferry Terminal Building and Plaza Park space, and the construction of a mixed-use residential building. Learn more about the Hudson River Tunnel Section Project on Sept. 24
Hoboken residents are invited to attend an open house hosted by the Gateway Development Commission, to learn more about the Hudson River Tunnel Section Project, on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Elysian Charter School, 1460 Garden St.
The Hudson River Tunnel Section is building the portion of the new Hudson River Tunnel under the Hudson River. The project also includes stabilizing the ground around a section of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail tracks and reinforcing the foundations of the Willow Avenue Bridge, which connects Hoboken and Weehawken.
During the open house, residents can explore informational stations about key project aspects, from timelines to community impacts. Project team members will be on hand to talk directly with attendees, answer questions, and provide information about upcoming milestones and what's next for the tunnel project.

Attend the virtual Rebuild by Design community meeting
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Control (NJDEP) will present updates to the community on the construction status and progress of the Rebuild by Design - Hudson River on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. The virtual presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
