LOCATION: 12700 block of Fir Street, Hesperia
SUSPECT: Adam Marquez, 19-year-old resident of Rancho Cucamonga
VICTIM(S): Adult Male
SUMMARY:
On Monday, September 7, 2026, at 8:26 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a report of an assault in the 12700 block of Fir Street, in the unincorporated area of Hesperia.
Upon arrival, deputies located the victim outside the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen. The suspect, later identified as Adam Marquez, fled on foot before deputies arived. During the investigation, deputies located a single fired cartridge casing inside the living room and observed a bullet hole in the rear door.
On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department arrested Marquez on an unrelated case and is currently in their custody there. Marquez will be transferred to the the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department upon completion of his case in Riverside County.
