UPDATE: Gatehouse Tree Removal Cancelled Until Further Notice 
UPDATE: The removal of the sycamore tree at the gate has been cancelled until further notice.
In August, the CSD started work on a generator installation project at the gatehouse. During the initial work, the team identified potential safety concerns involving the large sycamore tree next to the gatehouse.
The CSD had the tree inspected by an arborist, who confirmed that the tree’s roots were damaged and that this could affect the tree’s stability and long-term health. The tree’s roots were also causing damage to the roadway. Due to the potential risk of the tree falling and its proximity to the road and gatehouse, it was recommended that the CSD remove the tree.
The CSD will continue to evaluate the situation and provide further updates as they become available.
