Detective Adam Burnette with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Kaitlin Nicole Hensley, 34, of Nebo, with felony Possession of Stolen Goods. She was initially denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.
On August 22, Deputy Seth Leopold responded to a call about a stolen vehicle, in Nebo. Upon arrival to the residence, Deputy Leopold spoke with the owner of the stolen property (a blue Nissan pickup truck) who stated it was taken from a family member’s home nearby.
A short time later, the truck was located by the victim at a residence in Burke County after Hensley, a family member of the victim, had driven it to that location without permission.
Further investigation by Det. Burnette determined that Hensley was responsible for theft.
