The West New York Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that the El Salvador Parade will take place this Sunday, September 13, 2026.
NO PARKING will be permitted on Bergenline Avenue from 49th Street through 67th Street between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
IMPORTANT: All vehicles must be removed from Bergenline Avenue BEFORE 8:00 AM. Any vehicles remaining after 8:00 AM should EXPECT TO BE TOWED.
Due to the parade, all streets leading onto Bergenline Avenue within the affected area will be closed. Heavy traffic and delays are expected, and drivers are strongly encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
The parade will also travel through neighboring municipalities. Please check with those municipalities for their respective parking restrictions, street closures, and traffic advisories.
We encourage everyone attending to come out, enjoy the El Salvador Parade, celebrate responsibly, and help us keep the event safe. There will be a significant police presence throughout the area to assist with traffic, maintain public safety, and ensure everyone can enjoy the festivities safely.
Please be respectful of one another, follow all directions from officers, and avoid any behavior that could disrupt the celebration.
