...HOT AND DRY WITH POTENTIALLY STRONG WINDS AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT SATURDAY AFTERNOON... Hot and dry conditions on Saturday could combined with increase southerly winds ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are possible with humidities between 15 and 20 percent. Eastern portions of 423 along with zone 426 has seen little to no rainfall in the last two weeks. The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Fire Weather Watch for winds and low relative humidities, which is in effect from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Idaho, Fire Weather Zones 423 Owyhee Mountains and 426 Southern Highlands.
* TIMING...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...15 to 20 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...78 to 86 degrees.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
