Heat Advisory
This is a message from the City of Richmond, CA.
(CORRECTION from previous notification).
HEAT ADVISORY remains in effect until 10 PM Thursday for several parts of the Bay Area including the SF Shoreline and East Bay Interior Valleys. Hot conditions are expected with temperatures 10 to 20 degrees above normal during the day.
Health Risk: High risk for heat-related illness, especially for children, older adults, outdoor workers, and those without cooling access.
What You Should Do
- Stay indoors with AC if possible
- Drink water frequently – avoid alcohol/caffeine
- Limit outdoor activity during peak heat (10 AM–6 PM)
- Check on neighbors, especially vulnerable individuals
- NEVER leave people or pets in parked cars
