1. Resisting Arrest / Narcotics (1642) 200 Block of East March Lane, Lakeview District
An officer contacted the suspect for tampering with vehicles in the listed area. The suspect was holding a knife but dropped it. While being patted down for additional weapons, the suspect pulled away. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Khamsy Daranikone, 60, for resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1902) 1800 Block of La Jolla Drive, Civic District
The female victims, 55 and 75, were at a residence in the listed area when the suspect arrived and caused a disturbance. The suspect drew a firearm and fired a round. Neither victim was struck, and no injuries were reported. Officers located the suspect with the firearm in his possession. ARRESTED: Brandon Parker, 29, for assault with a deadly weapon, weapon charges, and elder abuse.
3. Robbery (1925) 6000 Block of Brea Avenue, Lakeview District
The female victim, 45, and the male victim, 23, were in the listed area when the suspect violated a restraining order against the female. The suspect argued with the male and struck him in the head with an unknown object. The suspect fled with the male victim's property. The male victim sustained a minor injury and refused medical treatment. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.
4. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (2145) 1600 Block of East Miner Avenue
The unknown victim was walking in the listed area when the suspect fired gunshots at him. The victim was not struck and fled on foot. Officers contacted the suspect, who fled into a residence, where he concealed himself. Officers evacuated the residents and surrounded the house. After a lengthy standoff, force was used to safely take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Ricky Taylor, 46, for assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and weapon charges.
5. Resisting Arrest (0056) North Pershing Avenue and West Flora Street, Civic District
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the listed area. The driver was found to be under the influence. When officers attempted to arrest him, the suspect fled on foot and resisted being handcuffed. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Harry Hawkins, 47, for resisting arrest and DUI.
