NEBO MAN CHARGED AFTER KICKING OPEN NEIGHBOR'S DOOR
Deputy Andrew Smith of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 50-year-old Jason Ray Lewis of Nebo with felony Breaking and Entering to Terrorize/Injure, misdemeanor Second-Degree Trespassing and misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer. Lewis received a $21,000 secured bond.
On Friday, August 28, deputies responded to a residence off Biggerstaff Loop following a report of a breaking and entering.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim, who stated that Lewis came to his house while he was sleeping and kicked open the front door. Lewis then left the area on foot and returned to his nearby residence.
Video footage provided by the homeowner confirmed that Lewis had committed the act. Deputies then proceeded to Lewis’ home, where he refused to cooperate and barricaded himself inside. After giving Lewis multiple commands to step outside, deputies entered the residence and placed him under arrest.
