NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE

Effective Date/Time: Monday, September 14, 2026 between 7:00am and 6:00pm

Affected Areas: Columbus Drive and Railroad Avenue, East Chicago, IN 46312
The City of East Chicago Water Department is issuing this notice to inform residents, businesses, motorists, and the general public that the roadway(s) referenced above will be temporarily affected by construction activities. The contractor performing the work is Hasse Construction Company. Work is scheduled to take place on said date between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Upon completion of the specified work, the roadway will reopen to vehicular traffic as conditions allow. Updates will be provided should additional areas become affected or if changes to the scheduled road closures are necessary.
The City of East Chicago apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and appreciates the public's patience and cooperation. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling near the work area and to follow all posted traffic control measures and detours.
