Update from WeatherWorks
* HEAVY DOWNPOURS BRING FLOODING CONCERNS LATER TONIGHT - SUNDAY AM * THREAT TIME: SUNDAY 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM
The disturbance will begin to approach tonight. We can start to see spotty showers pop up towards midnight, but steadier periods of rain with embedded downpours / storms will arrive into the pre-dawn and continue into Sunday morning. With a boundary nearby and plentiful moisture to work with, there is concern for repeated torrential downpours, which can quickly produce 1 – 2” of rain that result in instances of poor drainage and roadway flooding. Some stream / creek rises aren’t completely ruled out as well with repeated downpours possible. Coverage peaks early in the morning before gradually tapering and exiting into midday on Sunday.
