FFWRLX The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Roane County in central West Virginia... Central Braxton County in north central West Virginia... Southeastern Calhoun County in north central West Virginia... Northwestern Clay County in north central West Virginia... Southeastern Gilmer County in north central West Virginia... Central Lewis County in northern West Virginia...

* Until 215 AM EDT.

* At 1013 PM EDT, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Weston, Gassaway, Stonewall Jackson, Big Otter, Jackson Mill, Wallback, Burnsville, Jane Lew, Flatwoods, Exchange, Heaters, Wilsie, Frametown, Rosedale, Sand Run, Servia, Nicut, Walkersville, Nebo and Chloe. This includes the following highways... Interstate 79 between mile markers 29 and 51...and between mile markers 70 and 105. Route 33 between mile markers 1 and 7.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BRAXTON, WV ... CALHOUN, WV ... CLAY, WV ... GILMER, WV ... LEWIS, WV ... ROANE, WV
