Flash Flood Warning Extended Until 11:00 AM
The National Weather Service has extended the Flash Flood Warning for southern Fairfield County, including Westport, until 11:00 AM.
Flash flooding is already occurring. Heavy rainfall has resulted in flooding of streets, low-lying areas and areas with poor drainage. Additional heavy rainfall is possible this morning.
Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Nicholas Marsan is asking residents to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
Never attempt to drive through a flooded roadway. Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
