Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., reports the arrest of 14 individuals with outstanding warrants for violent offenses in the Newark Police Division’s August 2026 fugitive roundup operation.
“These 14 arrests reflect the unwavering commitment of the Newark Police Intelligence Division/Fugitive Section to keep our neighbors safe through the apprehension of individuals wanted for violent crimes,” Director Miranda said. “This fugitive operation has proven effective, especially this summer, as violent crime has been reduced by 8 percent from May to August 2026, when compared to the same period last year.”
