Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the male suspect pictured below, who took $200 and three cellphones from a victim’s vehicle on Saturday. September 5, 2026.
Surveillance video captured the suspect entering the vehicle at approximately 3 a.m. on Dolby Place near Lincoln Street. The suspect, who was wearing dark clothing, took the cash, an iPhone 14, and two Samsung Z Fold phones.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
