An AARP Community Challenge Grant is allowing Age-Friendly Leonia to develop 4 emergency preparedness workshops this fall. Each session will offer tips on preparing for emergencies related to:
Health: Wed, Sept 30th
Fire: Tues, Oct 20th
Weather: Tues, Nov 10th
Police: Tues, Nov 17th
These free workshops are geared to the needs of older residents.
Each participant will go home with a complimentary "go-bag" of essentials to grab should they need to vacate their residence unexpectedly. ShopRite will provide refreshments.
