Wilmington Police arrest man in connection to a shots fired incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a shots fired incident.
On September 14th at approximately 1:09 p.m., members of the Gun Intelligence Unit were in the area of East 23rd and Jessup Streets when they heard possible gunfire. While in the area, officers observed a male subject exit an ally in the 300 block of East 23rd Street and began acting suspiciously. Officers attempted to make contact with 40-year-old Karl Ingram, at which time he fled on foot. A short time later, Ingram was taken into custody after a brief struggle, at one point during which his firearm was pointed in the direction of a police officer. Officers recovered a loaded .9mm handgun and one spent shell casing.
Ingram has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree)
- Aggravated Menacing
- Resisting Arrest
