* Flash Flood Warning for... The Frijoles burn scar in... Southeastern Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico... Northeastern Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico...
* Until 645 PM MDT.
* At 348 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the western portion of the Frijoles Burn Scar as well as areas west of the burn scar to including Cundiyo. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact the Rio Frijoles, Rio Medio and Chimayo Creek as well as Camino del Canon, County Road 127 and Camino del Molino. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. Flooding will also impact Cundiyo and Highway 503. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Frijoles Burn Scar. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Frijoles Burn Scar.

Instructions:
This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks, streams and ditches in the Frijoles Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in places. If you encounter flood waters, climb to safety.
