The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the DC Department of General Services (DGS) would like to inform the community that the Langdon Park basketball courts and parking lot (2901 20th Street, NE) will be OFFLINE to the public starting Monday, September 21, 2026, with work expected to be completed by Wednesday, September 23, 2026, weather permitting. The recreation center and the rest of the park will remain open during this time.
This temporary closure of the basketball courts and parking lot will allow contractors to drill and take core samples of the earth as part of site preparation for the construction of a new recreation center.
